Cartoon Network [4] was a children's pay television channel in CIS & Southeast Europe which was launched on 1 October 2009, replacing the pan-European feed of Cartoon Network in those regions. Cartoon Network was available in Bulgarian, Croatian, English, Russian, Serbian and Slovene.
On 1 October 2009, a separate feed was established — Cartoon Network Russia and Southeastern Europe (CN RSEE), broadcasting in the CIS, Baltic States and Southeastern Europe. [37] There is also a new block Cartoon Toon Toon. Both the CIS countries and Bulgaria received separate advertising.
The European feed at the time consisted of four audio tracks, which were in English, Romanian, Hungarian and Polish. On 1 August 2007, TV channel began broadcasting from the Astra 1K and Hot Bird 7A satellites in the territories of the CIS and Baltic countries. [4] The TV channel was partially broadcast in Russian. [5]
Cartoon Network's first original series was The Moxy Show and the late-night satirical animated talk show Space Ghost Coast to Coast (the latter moving to Adult Swim at launch in September, 2001).
