Nissan unveiled the updated GT-R Nismo at the 2019 New York Auto Show, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the GT-R brand. The car featured a revised "R mode" gear setting, with quicker gear shifts. Turbochargers were upgraded to improve acceleration. Lighter wheels with revised Dunlop tyres and a re-tuned suspension setup improved grip.
