Hello there, I am thinking about getting a lazy susan type rotary device for placing boards from games onto so we can spinit so it always faces the active player.
Lasy susan hardware is not hard to find and comes in several sizes. But yeah, getting one that cheap that comes with "free" material attached is a leg up! I saw the lazy gaming susan KS's in recent years. They had some great ideas. But they weren't established companies, they were both groups working out of garages, apparently.
i'm working on a game where a lazy susan or other type of turntable seems important (it's a 3-d cube-laying game). anyone know of sources for inexpensive plastic lazy susans? how to buy them in "bulk" (not tons, but maybe dozens)? has anyaone had experience using
Fingersmaster. Obviously Scrabble is the first that comes to mind. They even make one specially for it. But then I thought there must be a lot of games that would benefit from the use of a turntable/lazy Susan. I would love to read your suggestions.
• A 12" Lazy Susan Plastic Rotating Turntable. I believe the bigger you get, and closer to the wood round size (that is 24" same as the game board), the better. But, I didn't want to spend much and since the main weight of the game (which is the tower) sits on the center, the 12" one works pretty great!
I made a lazy susan play board for dominion many years ago. I have a hard time playing without it now. It is by far the most used game "addon" that I have or have made. Here is the post that shows mine. It is a variant of one that was posted to the geek. The discussion here highlights the ideal number of card slots.
