The Marion Unit 2 board of education recently approved the hiring of a new principal at Longfellow Elementary and a new facilities supervisor, as well as the resignation of the food service supervisor. The board, in a 5-0 vote, accepted the resignation of Kyle Hartwell, food service director, effective March 17.
