The campus consisted of several bungalows at Avenue 52, Highland Park, Los Angeles. The old campus became St. Vincent's School. [11] In 1922, St. Vincent's campus was sold. St. Vincent's College was started by Vincentian Fathers in 1865 and was the first College in Southern California. St. Vincent's Place is located at St. Vincent Court at 7th Street and Broadway in the City of Los Angeles in Los Angeles County. St. Vincent's College became L.A. College in 1911 and Loyola Marymount University in 1917.

The Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul founded the Los Angeles Infirmary, later the St. Vincent Medical Center, in 1856. [2] Their hospitals were originally sponsored by the Western Province of the Daughters of Charity and were part of the Daughters of Charity National Health System, now Ascension.
