Sui Ishida is best known for his dark fantasy series Tokyo Ghoul, a story about a young man named Ken Kaneki who gets transformed into a ghoul after encountering one. The series then ran from 2011 to 2014 in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine, and was later adapted into a light novel and anime series in 2014.

Later he is captured by a dangerous ghoul, named Jason, due to the similarities he shares with Rize. The score is composed by Yutaka Yamada . The opening theme for the series is " unravel " by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure , and the ending theme is "The Saints" ( 聖者たち , Seijatachi ) by People In The Box.
On April 11, 2019, the title of the film was announced as Tokyo Ghoul S, and a trailer and theatrical poster for the film was released.
