Al Bataeh (Arabic: البطائح, romanized: Al-Baṭāʾiḥ) is a town located in outskirts of the Emirate of Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates. The town only has a population of almost 4,000 as of 2015, [1] [2] and is one of the least populated municipalities of Sharjah. The town is home to Al Bataeh Club and Sharjah Desert Park.
Sharjah has been ruled by the Al Qasimi dynasty since the 18th century. The city is a center for culture and industry, and alone contributes 7.4% of the GDP of the United Arab Emirates. [4] The city covers an approximate area of 235 km 2 and has a population of over 1,800,000 (2022–2023). [1]
