Yadgar Mosque, the "first" mosque of Rabwah. Rabwah. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community established itself in Rabwah on September 30, 1948. [4] Rabwah was a town founded and created by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the time of its Second Caliph, Mirza Basheer-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad and was named ‘Rabwah’ by the Ahmadiyya Missionary Jalal-ud-Din Shams.

The earliest mosque of the Ahmadiyya Muslims Community is the Al-Sadiq Mosque, a two story building purchased by Mufti Muhammad Sadiq in 1922 in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago, the original building was torn down and a purpose built mosque was constructed at the site in the 1990s.
Mirza Tahir Ahmad, who was the head of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community at the time, launched an appeal for funds for the building on 24 February 1995, and the land, formerly occupied by an Express Dairies depot, was purchased on 29 March 1996. The designs were produced by Oxford architectural studio, Sutton Griffin.

The Mosque-Madrasa of al-Ahmadiyya is composed of two complexes, the first is the main mosque with domes and on the southern side of it is the second building which is a two floored complex that contains the madrasa. Between the two buildings is a courtyard; it is surrounded by high walls that contain 4 gates leading to its surroundings.
