Juniata County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.As of the 2020 census, the population was 23,509. [1] Its county seat is Mifflintown. [2] The county was created on March 2, 1831, from part of Mifflin County and named for the Juniata River.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.78 km 2), all land. Thompsontown is located in the eastern part of Juniata County and is surrounded by Delaware Township. Many of the town's residents commute to work in Harrisburg and Mifflintown.
