Alice Ann Munro OOnt (/ m ə n ˈ r oʊ / mən-ROH; née Laidlaw / ˈ l eɪ d l ɔː / LAYD-law; 10 July 1931 – 13 May 2024) was a Canadian short story writer who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013.
