Vintar, officially the Municipality of Vintar (Ilocano: Ili ti Vintar; Tagalog: Bayan ng Vintar), is a municipality in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Carasi is a land-locked town situated in the eastern border of Ilocos Norte. Vintar is situated in the north of Carasi, Calanasan in the east, Nueva Era in the south and Piddig in the west. It is in the foot of the Cordillera Mountains. Carasi is 31 kilometres (19 mi) from Laoag and 518 kilometres (322 mi) from Manila.
