    I can verify that GameGuard does in fact work on Windows 7 (retail x64, b7600). I play Rappelz (a game that uses GameGuard) and I don't get any errors when playing it - in fact, to test this, I left the game run overnight and GameGuard still didn't close it. I am running the game as admin if that may be why.
