Stranraer Football Club is a Scottish semi-professional football club based in the town of Stranraer in Dumfries and Galloway. The club was founded in 1870, making it the third-oldest football club in Scotland behind Queen's Park and Kilmarnock and one of the 20 oldest in the world. [ 2 ]

Knox rejoined Stranraer in July 2007, in the position of Reserve Team manager. After Derek Ferguson left the club, Knox was appointed as caretaker manager in January 2009. [1] He was given the job on a permanent basis in February 2009. [2] Stranraer sacked Knox in October 2012, citing poor results early in the 2012–13 season. [3]
