From 1910-1911 the Placerville and Lake Tahoe did not operate. In 1911 the Placerville and Lake Tahoe was sold at foreclosure for $62,714.58 and was reorganized on December 28, 1911 as the Camino, Placerville and Lake Tahoe Railroad. The CPLT was owned by the Michigan-California Lumber Company.
The road, all owned, 8.049 miles, extending from Placerville to Camino. Calif., was all acquired by purchase in January 1912 from C. D. Danaher, who had previously acquired it at foreclosure sale in December 1911 from the Placerville and Lake Tahoe Railway Company. The property was constructed by or for the latter company in 1904.

The final section of freeway begins near Camino, where the Lincoln Highway splits from US 50, and ends at the east end of Pollock Pines.
Swansboro Country; a subdivision within the community of Mosquito, [5] is a residential area northeast of Placerville, the county seat of El Dorado County, California. The population was approximately 1,000 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
