General Iroh, credited as Uncle is a fictional character in Nickelodeon's animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender.Created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the character was voiced by Mako in the first two seasons and, due to Mako's death, by Greg Baldwin in the third season and the sequel series The Legend of Korra.

However, Iroh convinces Zuko to abandon his quest and let Appa go. Azula infiltrates the city to stage a coup and arranges a trap for Zuko and Iroh. Imprisoned together with Aang's friend Katara, Zuko is rescued alongside her by Aang and Iroh, only to be convinced by Azula to betray Iroh, Katara and the Avatar and finally regain his honor.
Azula and Zuko are welcomed home as heroes, and Ozai congratulates Zuko for killing Aang and apprehending Iroh for his betrayal to the Fire Nation. Zuko believes that Azula credited him with killing the Avatar for her own ulterior purposes. Aang tries to charge into the Fire Nation alone, determined to redeem himself.

The next morning, Ursa tells the two children that Iroh's son, Lu Ten, did not survive the siege. This is intercut with Lee learning from the Earth Kingdom soldiers that Sensu has been captured in the war in the present. Zuko gives Lee his knife and departs. Lu Ten's death caused a devastated Iroh to abandon the siege and return home.
