Carlos Michael Pinera (September 29, 1948 – November 20, 2024) was an American guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer who started professionally in the late 1960s with the group Blues Image, which had a number 4 hit in 1970 with their song "Ride Captain Ride".
Henry joined Blues Image during the sessions for Open after Mike Pinera agreed to join Iron Butterfly. His significant contributions to that album, although uncredited, included the tasteful clean solo and fills on "Ride Captain Ride." Mike Pinera plays the distorted solo at the end of the song.

Frank "Skip" Konte (born October 2, 1947) is an American keyboardist. [1] He joined The Blues Image in 1967, and stayed with them until they split in 1971. [2] Along with bandmate Mike Pinera, he wrote their one hit single, "Ride Captain Ride".
Pinera was known for his work with Blues Image ("Ride Captain Ride") and Iron Butterfly. Mitchell had been a member of The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The group also included some former members of Janis Joplin's Big Brother and The Holding Company.
