In 2009, the Amherst and Regional School Committees considered plans to close Mark's Meadow. In May of that year, it was voted to close the school. Belmont Day School is an independent pre-kindergarten to 8th grade school in Belmont, MA. Currently, the school has approximately 270 students, and 80 educators and faculty.
