The Market Place (also known as the Tustin Market Place or the Tustin/Irvine Market Place) is an outdoor shopping center located in Orange County, California. Opened in 1988, the center is located along Jamboree Road [ 1 ] and Interstate 5 , straddling the borders of Irvine and Tustin .
The center opened with stores that were similar or had locations at the nearby Market Place, which opened 19 years earlier. Borders closed in 2011 due to the chain's liquidation. Best Buy closed in 2012 as part of a plan to close 50 stores nationwide, [ 4 ] and was replaced with Aki-Home.
