Laurinburg is a city in and the county seat of Scotland County, North Carolina, United States. [6] Located in southern North Carolina near the South Carolina border, Laurinburg is southwest of Fayetteville and is home to St. Andrews University. The population was 14,978 at the 2020 Census.
On April 14, 1992, Boles was appointed an auxiliary bishop of Boston and was ordained bishop on May 21, 1992. He served as regional bishop for the Central pastoral region of the archdiocese, which was based in Boston and Cambridge. Boles retired on October 12, 2006. He died on October 9, 2014, in Framingham, Massachusetts, aged 84. [1] [2] [3]
