Sheikh Ali Madad (Urdu: شیخ علی مدد ) was a Parachinar Pakistani Shia Muslim religious leader and politician born in Gilgit. He died on 28 June 2002, and was succeeded by Muhammad Nawaz Irfani .

Bangladesh participated in the 2021 Islamic Solidarity Games held in Konya, Turkey from 9 to 18 August 2022, the Games were rescheduled from 20 to 29 August 2021, the event was postponed to be held from 10 to 19 September 2021 in July 2020 by the ISSF because the original dates were coinciding with the 2020 Summer Olympics, which were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Basketball is a part of the Islamic Solidarity Games since the 2005 edition. At the 2005 and 2013 event, the tournament was held as a competition of "regular" 5 on 5 full court basketball . Since 2017, it has been played as a 3x3 basketball half court tournament.
