Under Russell V. DeLong, Northwest Nazarene College (NNC) received educational accreditation [6] as a two-year school in 1931 [7] and as a four-year school in 1937, [7] making it the first accredited college affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene. [8] Master's degree programs were added in the 1960s and 1970s.
He returned to Northwest Nazarene University in 1999 as vice president for financial affairs and in-house legal counsel, serving until 2008. In August 2008, Pearsall became vice president for university advancement. [3] [4] In 2016, Pearsall was selected to serve as the 13th president of Northwest Nazarene University.

John Riley was born to George Duncan Riley and Mary Jane Oliver Riley on January 23, 1909, in Haverhill, Massachusetts.He received his undergraduate degree from the Eastern Nazarene College in 1930 and his graduate education at Boston University in 1931.
In 1983, Wetmore was elected president of the Northwest Nazarene College and served there until 1992, [2] when he was elected president of the Nazarene Theological Seminary. [4] He retired in 2000 and lived with his wife in Olathe, Kansas , [ 3 ] until his death on June 9, 2016.
Oord then attended Claremont Graduate University, earning an MA and PhD in religion in 1999. While at Claremont, Oord was a pastor at the Bridge Church of the Nazarene in Bloomington, California. He then taught at Eastern Nazarene College before returning to his alma mater, Northwest Nazarene.
