Pedro Siochi y Angeles was a Chinese-Spanish-Filipino architect and civil engineer of famous landmarks and structures in the Philippines. He was born in 1886 in Manila, Captaincy General of the Philippines. [1]
Returning to Manila he was for four years an assistant architect in the Bureau of Public Works. In 1927 he became associated with architect Tomas Arguelles and established Arguelles & Ocampo Architects. [1] Many of Manila's finest business buildings and residences attest to Ocampo's ability as an architect and engineer.

Facade of the UP College of Engineering's Melchor Hall Commemorative plaque in the UP College of Engineering's Melchor Hall. Alejandro Salmero Melchor Sr. (August 9, 1900 – September 5, 1947) was a Filipino civil engineer, mathematician, educator and member of the Cabinet of the Philippines.
He soon went to Madrid in 1890. It was during this time that he befriended many Filipino patriots, including José Rizal, who advised him to study engineering in Belgium. [1] He therefore enrolled at the University of Ghent, one of the world's top engineering schools, and finished civil engineering and architecture with highest honors.
