The Vancouver Park Board oversees 250 parks and gardens, including major attractions such as Stanley Park and VanDusen Botanical Garden, 24 community centres with pools, skating rinks and playing fields, as well as three golf courses.
Park Board Administration building – Opened in 1962. Designed by architect Percy Underwood. Located at 2099 Beach Avenue, near the English Bay entrance to the park. Pitch and Putt Golf Course – Built in 1932. Architect Percy Underwood designed the Golf Course Ticket Booth, 1953-55. The par 3 course takes 1–3 hours to complete.
VanDusen's volunteers have a 45-year history in the garden and often exhibit a proprietary connection to the trees, shrubs and annuals. Trained volunteer guides interpret the plant collection and the history of the garden to visitors on foot and in motorized golf carts from April through October (see web site for actual dates, the carts have a limited season).

Vancouver Golf Club, located in the Canadian city of Coquitlam, British Columbia, is the oldest golf club in the Lower Mainland. [ 2 ] Established 114 years ago in 1910, it opened the following year on a former sheep farm on the west side of Blue Mountain.
