It is part of the county's long-term plan to complete an outer highway loop around Tulsa's central business district. Okmulgee is a city in the Tulsa metropolitan area and the county seat of Okmulgee County in Oklahoma, United States. [4] The name is from the Muskogee word okimulgi, which means "boiling waters".
