Wishbone Ash are an English hard rock band from Torquay, Devon.Formed in October 1969, the group originally included bassist and lead vocalist Martin Turner, guitarists and vocalists Andy Powell and Ted Turner, and drummer Steve Upton. [1]

When Tanglewood's original guitarist, Martin's brother Glenn Turner, left the trio and returned to his native Devon, their manager, Miles Copeland III, advertised for a guitar player and also for a keyboard player.

Prior to his stint in Wishbone Ash, Wisefield performed with the progressive rock band, Home. The group released three albums through Columbia Records between 1971 and 1974. [ 1 ] Another member of Home, Cliff Williams , went on to find fame with AC/DC .
Turner joined Wishbone Ash in 1969. Extensive touring followed, whilst also recording the albums Wishbone Ash, Pilgrimage, and Argus. He left the band after their fourth album, Wishbone Four, in 1974. His main guitar during this period was a Gibson Les Paul. He also used a Fender Stratocaster and vintage lap steel guitars.

In 1997, Kishman left Wishbone Ash to pursue different musical projects. He has returned to performing as Paul McCartney in Twist and Shout, an American Beatles tribute band. [4] Kishman is now a current band member with the critically acclaimed Classical Mystery Tour and Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney.
