Northwest Career and Technical Academy, or NWCTA, is a nine-month magnet school in Las Vegas, Nevada in the Clark County School District (CCSD). The school first opened for the 2007-2008 school year, admitting only freshman and sophomores.
The school opened in August 2010 as the first magnet school in Summerlin, a community in the western Las Vegas Valley. [2] It is administered by the Clark County School District . As of 2019, the school had an enrollment of 1,397 students and 61 classroom teachers on a FTE basis, for a student-teacher ratio of 23:1. [ 3 ]
East Career and Technical Academy, also known as East Tech or ECTA, is a public magnet secondary school in Sunrise Manor, Nevada. [2] It educates grades 9–12 in the Clark County School District. The school was founded in 2007. Natasha Lerutte has served as principal since May 2024. The school's 2022-2023 enrollment was 1,988. [1]
The original Las Vegas High School opened in 1905 with a tent in the city. The school made a new campus in 1930 that opened in 1931. After 62 years A new campus was made in 1992 that opened in 1993.
