Cynthia Petersen is a Canadian lawyer and judge. Petersen has been a judge for the Ontario Superior Court of Justice since June 2017. Before becoming a judge, Petersen was the Discrimination and Harassment Counsel for the Law Society of Upper Canada from 2002 to 2017. In 2011, Petersen was inducted into the Q Hall of Fame Canada.
In April 2019, Schabas was appointed as a Judge of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. In 1975, at age 39, LeSage was appointed to Ontario's County and District Court. In 1983 he was named Associate Chief Judge of that court. [3] In 1990, the County and District Court was merged into the Ontario Court (General Division). [4] LeSage became Associate Chief Justice of that court in 1994 and Chief Justice in 1996.
He was appointed the deputy director of the Federal Prosecution Service, Ontario Watch in 2002. He was involved in the design and implementation of Canada's first Drug Treatment Court in 1998. He became Canada's 25th African-Canadian judge on 8 February 2004, making him one of Canada's youngest judges at the time.
Huscroft was educated at the University of Western Ontario (BA 1980), Queen's University (LL.B. 1984), and the University of Auckland (LL.M. 1987). [2]Huscroft taught at the University of Auckland Law School between 1992 and 2001 and then the University of Western Ontario Faculty of Law from 2002 to 2014, where he was Associate Dean from 2006 to 2008.
