i'm trying to figure out how to force a program guide download. I tried the DISH Network website tech portal for my 625 and couldn't find that info. My instinct was to turn off both tuners and wait 10 mins and the program guide would be loaded, but that didn't seem to work. My 625 currently...
To get the guide to download you can press 999 Browse in the guide. It will force the guide to download. If it does not work then the current guide it downloaded. This was told to me by a Dish Network Tech Support. It should work on all receivers. I have 2 VIP622's and 2 VIP612's and it work for all of them when I get INFO NOT Available.
To get the guide info to show up faster, try using Fast Forward to go all the way out to the end of the guide. While there, you may have to skip around for a little while, or simply wait several seconds. Then, the updated guide info should show up, without any need to reset the receiver or trying to force another guide update.
