The wilderness has Coast Range and Klamath montane, mixed evergreen and Douglas fir forest types. Conifers include the California endemic foxtail pine, ponderosa pine, red fir and white fir, the rare western white pine, sugar pine, incense cedar, and the Pacific yew.
