Hi forum. Both my iPads won’t cast to chromecast from the safari-browser anymore. Network works, and I can cast to my KEF speakers via KEF’s app, but the cast button in safari is simply grayed out, without further eksplanation.
Initially I bought the Chromecast just because it was so cheap, and I just wanted to project photos wirelessly to my TV, but I now have 4 of them, on every TV/monitor in the house, and I'm a convert. I have PhotoCast, Youtube, TED, BBC iPlayer, TuneIn on all my iOS devices, plus AirParrot on my OS X laptop, so I can 'cast' almost anything that ...
Go to Settings > Control Center, then tap next to Code Scanner. Open Control Center, tap the Code Scanner, then position iPhone so that the code appears on the screen. To add more light, tap the flashlight to turn it on." If the issue persists, connect with Apple for further assistance. You can reach out to them here: Get Support. All the best.
Now the cast symbol has vanished on all three apps, and both my iPad Pro and iPhone XR seem to have both lost the ability to cast - and forgotten they were ever connected to the Chromecast. (I’ve already talked to Chromecast support, but since my partner’s Android phone casts fine, it’s clearly an iOS issue). iPhone XR.
When I set up a video queue, it will not automatically play the videos through my Chromecast device, but it will play them on the computer. Autoplay is on. Youtube support has no idea what's going on. Also, my Ipad and my iPhone will play the queued videos automatically. I'm thinking something is off with the Ipad, but I have no idea what it ...
I needed to chromecast from my IPad to the tv, and I have figured out that you can only chromecast on the website and not on the app. I then tried to open the Apple TV website, but every time I clicked on the link to the website, safari redirected me to the Apple TV app, which I didn’t want.
However, I can't get Safari's streaming Chinese videos to show up on HDTV via ATV 4K. All I see is a blank black screen with its spinning buffering(?) animation. The Chinese web site doesn't have an iOS app so I have to use the web browsers (Chrome doesn't even have an AirPlay option like in Safari).

How can I cast or mirror a web page with video from my ipad to Chromecast or FireTVstick? I don't see the cast or airplay icon on Safari or Chrome browser when using my Ipad. I know FireTVstick has apps to download, but many are just a trial or charge extra for "full service" and frankly, I'm wary of paying additional.
I typically rarely use chrome because of its typical higher resource and energy consumption than Safari. I only use it for chromecast now, however before 10.10.5 I could cast a full 42min show from hulu or netflix and only drop maybe 15% battery 20% at most. Now it has been dropping at least 50% over the same length of show.
