The Denver Community School District is a rural public school district that serves the town of Denver, Iowa and surrounding areas in southern Bremer County and northern Black Hawk County. [ 2 ] The school, which serves all grade levels K-12 on one campus, is located at 520 Lincoln St. in Denver.
The former Odebolt–Arthur Community School District and the Battle Creek–Ida Grove Community School District, in 2009, started a "grade sharing" in which the districts sent their children to the same high school and shared personnel. [2]

Highland High School, the sole high school in the district, serves grades 9 through 12. The building was built in 1965, with renovations and additions since then. A connection to the middle school allows the sharing of some courses between schools. It is currently a 1A school in athletics and extracurricular activities. [11]
By 2017 there was a proposal to modify it so only Alden sends students to Iowa Falls, and not the other way around, for a period until the 2027–2028 school year. That way 6th graders at Iowa Falls and Alden would go to their respective schools. [4] All five members of the Iowa Falls CSD board approved this on May 9, 2016. [3]
