"Who Let the Dogs Out" (originally titled "Doggie") is a song written by Anslem Douglas and best known in a 2000 recording by the Baha Men. Originally released by its songwriter as "Doggie" in 1998, it was covered by producer Jonathan King who sang it under the name Fat Jakk and his Pack of Pets.
Who Let the Dogs Out" also earned the band several awards: a Grammy Award in 2001 for Best Dance Recording; [2] Billboard Music Awards for World Music Artist of the Year and World Music Album of the Year; and a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song. Originally on 2 Zero 0-0, a re-recorded version was released in January 2001 as the second and final single from their album, Who Let the Dogs Out following the departure of original lead singer Nehemiah Hield. It reached the top 10 in Australia and reached the top 20 in the United Kingdom.
