Blooming Grove Independent School District is a public school district based in Blooming Grove, Texas, United States. In addition to Blooming Grove, the district serves the cities of Barry and Emhouse as well as rural areas in west central Navarro County .
The school is named for United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Matthew Ryan Vandegrift, who was killed in action in Basra, Iraq in 2008. [2] The school's first year of operation, 2009, was at adjacent Four Points Middle School, and it then transferred to the Vandegrift campus at the start of the 2010 school year.
