Mount Pico de Loro, also known as Mount Palay-Palay, is a dormant volcano located on the border of Cavite and Batangas, in the island of Luzon, Philippines.It is the highest mountain in the province of Cavite, with an elevation of 2,257 ft (688 m) above sea level and the highest peak of the Mounts Palay-Palay–Mataas-na-Gulod Protected Landscape. The park is located just 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Manila and some 30 kilometres (19 mi) from the mountain resort city of Tagaytay.
The town is famous for its bamboo crafts, Mounts Palay-Palay–Mataas-na-Gulod Protected Landscape which includes Mount Pico de Loro, and various ancestral houses and structures important to Philippine history and culture such as Maragondon Church and the execution site and trial house of national hero Andres Bonifacio. The park lies at the border of Cavite and Batangas and encompasses three peaks, Palay-Palay, Pico de Loro and Mataas na Gulod. The five unclassified forests are found along Tagaytay Ridge, Maragondon, Magallanes, Ternate and Alfonso. The other mountain peaks in the province are Mt. Buntis, Mt. Nagpatong, Mt. Hulog and Mt. Gonzales (Mt. Sungay).

Mount Batulao is an inactive stratovolcano in the Calabarzon region of the Philippines, located in northwest Batangas province along its border with Cavite. [1] [3] It is a dissected andesitic stratovolcano at the northwestern rim of the Taal Caldera which began to form in the late Pliocene period, about 3.4 million years ago. [4]
