The D'Bari are a fictional alien race appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are most known as the people whose star system was destroyed by Phoenix during the Dark Phoenix Saga (1980). The D'Bari appeared in the 2019 film Dark Phoenix with their leader Vuk portrayed by Jessica Chastain.
They come from the planet Nanda, second from the sun in the Particulus star system in the Milky Way galaxy. They are members of the federation of alien races called the Charter (along with the Lem, Lumina, and Myndai). First seen in Shogun Warriors #19 (August 1980).
A highly intelligent and strong martial artist, Gwen later develops magic abilities that are eventually revealed to be alien in nature, having inherited it from her alien paternal grandmother, Verdona. Gwen was created for Ben 10 (2005–2008), in which she was voiced as a 10-year-old by Meagan Smith.
