The DAC was built in 1974 as the Physical Education and Athletic Center (PEAC) [9] and was renamed in 2001 after a gift from former Drexel Lacrosse player John A. Daskalakis ('63). [10] The Daskalakis Athletic Center hosted the 2018 and 2022 Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball tournament, and will again host the tournament in 2024.
