Several years ago, Adobe shut down the CS2 activation servers. So your CS2 is trying to communicate with a server which no longer exists. Uninstall your CS2. Then go to that page and download the new non-activation CS2 from the links provided. You must also discard your existing CS2 serial number. That will no longer work either.
Unfortunately I do not have the serial number and my online Adobe ID shows no reference to me having the program. I have gone into the settings of photoshop on my desktop and have found a serial number. Unfortunately it is only 20 digits as opposed to 24. How do I go about finding my 24 digit serial number? That won't work, you have to use the serial number next to the download on this page: Download Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Creative Suite 2 products. And you have to uninstall the old version before installing the new version you downloaded. Upvote.
I have tried to follow all the suggested steps.Photoshop and Bridge is succesfully installed, but when I try to install Illustrator and InDesign, I get the message "Invalid serial number". (I have copied and pasted the s/n from the download page.)
New Macs cannot run CS2. The CS2 activation servers were shut down years ago so any key you used in the past will not work now. Adobe has made available a non-activation version of CS2 for CS2 owners. To re-install you must download the new non-activation version and use the new serial number provided on that page.
I am trying to install Photoshop CS2 but it is telling me I don't have a valid serial number. I initially installed it via disc but in order to fully install it and have it after the free trial, I was told I had to uninstall it and then reinstall it via this link:
