A quire of paper is a measure of paper quantity. The usual meaning is 25 sheets of the same size and quality: 1 ⁄ 20 of a ream of 500 sheets. Quires of 25 sheets are often used for machine-made paper, while quires of 24 sheets are often used for handmade or specialised paper of 480-sheet reams.

The diameter of the wheel is the diameter of the cylindrical surface on which the tire bead rides. The width is the inside distance between the bead seat faces.
The rim type codes SS or HB precede the rim designation, whereas code C is appended to the nominal width. Examples: SS 400×20, HB 422×25, 620×13C. The nominal width of a rim is the inner width between the straight sides or beads as one can easily measure it with a caliper (see the standard for drawings and exact measurement procedures).
Centreless wheels are toroidal in shape and have one or multiple bearings along the rim. Propulsion can be achieved in different ways, such as with gear teeth along the inner surface of the rim. They can be made lighter than solid and spoked wheels, resulting in better handling, [1] and less rotational inertia.

The Westwood rim style of cycle rim used on bicycles was one of the original steel rim designs, developed during or before 1891 by Frederick Westwood of Birmingham.
