Kaufmann's was founded in Pittsburgh in 1871 by brothers Morris, Jacob, and Isaac Kaufmann as a small South Side men's store. [4] [5] In 1877, the brothers moved downtown to a location that became known as The Big Store. [6]

Christine Kaufmann (born December 25, 1951) is a Montana politician. A member of the Montana Senate from January 2007 to 2016, she previously served three terms in the Montana House of Representatives. [1] She last represented the 41st senate district, based in Helena, Montana.
Kaufman was born on June 22, 1925, in North Newton, Kansas. [4] He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethel College in 1947. [4] He earned his Master of Arts degree in sociology from Northwestern University in 1948, a Bachelor of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School in 1951, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in philosophical theology from Yale University in 1955.
