Marilyn Milian (born May 1, 1961), known professionally as Judge Milian, is an American television personality, lecturer, retired Florida Circuit Court judge and court-show arbitrator. For 22 seasons from March 12, 2001 to July 21, 2023, Milian starred in the American courtroom television series The People's Court , replacing Jerry Sheindlin .
On March 12, 2001, late in The People's Court ' s fourth season, retired Florida State Circuit Court Judge Marilyn Milian replaced Sheindlin as presiding judge on the court show. He is married to Judy Sheindlin, better known as Judge Judy (so named after her court TV series). The two married in 1978, a second marriage for both. They were divorced in 1990, but they remarried in 1991. Sheindlin has 3 children (Gregory, Jonathan and Nicole), 2 stepchildren (Jamie and Adam Levy), 13 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
