The new iPad has a 42.5wH (11,666mAh) battery. The iPad 2 had a 25wH (6944mAh) battery. Charge time = forever. This! Takes a bigger battery to power more processing and graphics power. Unless you up the voltage, which isn't going to happen, charge time will slow down.

Oct 20, 2020. #1. For like the past year or so, my iPad Air 2 has experienced some charging issues, which have recently become worse. If I unplug my iPad and the battery drains some, and then I plug it in to charge, it has not been charging right away. For instance, I might watch a movie before going to bed, and use my iPad while watching the show.

    635. 29. Oct 22, 2018. #1. Device: iPhone 6 (original battery, never went to Apple for a battery change after the battery-gate scandal) So is it just me, or does the iPhone takes an unusually long time to go from 90% to 100% charged as opposed to any other range? I don't see this issue with my iPad Air (5th Gen) which is also running iOS 12.

Additionally, it takes forever to charge my iPad when plugged into the wall. As a comparison, it charged from 29-35 percent in an hour with the 6' cable and 35-62 percent in 20 minutes with the 30-pin cable that came with the iPad. So be careful what kind of cables you buy. BTW, this cable must be an older style because the 30-pin connector has ...

  8. iPad Pro Yes, the iPad Pro charges SLOWLY. Here’s why.

    forums.macrumors.com/threads/yes-the-ipad-pro-charges-slowly-heres-why.1939002

The problem is that with a 10,088mAh battery, that comes to 5560mA, or 28W. This means that the iPad Pro technically needs a 28W charger to charge at optimal speed — at the INTENDED speed. The 12W charger it ships with is only supplying 40% of the current required to charge it at maximum speed.

Oct 28, 2024. #1. Hi, on iPhone 16 Pro with iOS 18.1, it's possible to create a shortcut that change the charge limit of the battery from 80% to 100% and also disactive optimised battery charging (the two options only for one charge, like "until tomorrow option" the iOS ask you). It will be awesome to add a button in the control center that ...
