Port Douglas State School is a government primary (Preparatory to Year 6) school for boys and girls at Endeavour Street [ 26 ] [ 27 ] In 2017, the school had an enrolment of 281 students with 20 teachers (17 full-time equivalent) and 12 non-teaching staff (8 full-time equivalent).
Only the ground floor space in the terminal building is used for passengers. Upstairs there are offices and the Douglas Harbour Control Unit.
