The name originates from Fox Broadcasting Company in the United States, which in turn derives its name from Fox Film (which merged with Twentieth Century Pictures to form 20th Century Fox in 1935), named after founder William Fox.
When Fox Sports 1 (FS1) launched in 2013, its early morning time slot was used to air game replays and reruns of other shows. [2] Eventually, it was filled by First Things First from 2017 to 2022 and later The Carton Show from 2022 to 2024. The latter show starred its namesake, Craig Carton, alongside other commentators.
Fox Sports Networks (FSN), formerly known as Fox Sports Net, was the collective name for a group of regional sports channels in the United States. Formed in 1996 by News Corporation, the networks were acquired by The Walt Disney Company on March 20, 2019, following its acquisition of 21st Century Fox.
