Oswego Township occupies the 6-mile-square-plus additional land to the south of the Fox River in northeast corner of Kendall County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 50,870 and it contained 17,914 housing units.

Oswego (/ ɒ s ˈ w iː ɡ oʊ /) is a village in Kendall and Will counties, Illinois, United States. Per the 2020 census , the population was 34,485. [ 3 ] Oswego is the largest municipality in Kendall County.
The county is an 18-mile (29 km) square, which is divided up into 9 townships. Each township is divided into 36 one-mile-square sections, except that the Fox River is used as a township border, resulting in Bristol being the smallest township with the extra area being assigned to Oswego and Kendall Townships.

Boulder Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in Oswego Township, Kendall County, Illinois, United States. Per the 2020 census , the population was 8,394. [ 3 ] It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area on the Fox River , south of Aurora .
Belleville Township, St. Clair County — Dissolved at the end of May 2017, under a new Article 28 of the Township Code (60 ILCS 1/28-10), with the approval of ordinances by the township in January 2016 and its co-terminous municipality, the City of Belleville, in May 2016.
Before that, it was part of Illinois Route 89 as well as Illinois Route 7A, and Illinois Route 89A. [ 5 ] [ 2 ] In 1939, a ferry that crossed the Illinois River was replaced by a truss bridge. [ 6 ] [ 7 ] In 1942, IL 71 was extended towards US 34 in Oswego. [ 8 ]
