The 2024–25 season is the 88th season in the history of Colchester United Football Club and their ninth consecutive season in League Two. In addition to the domestic league , the club would also participate in the FA Cup , the EFL Cup , and the EFL Trophy .
United faced Don Revie's formidable Leeds United side in the fifth round, who were at the top of the First Division at the time. The U's raced to an unprecedented 3–0 lead in the match, before Leeds pulled two goals back. The match ended 3–2 to Colchester to record a famous giant-killing victory.
