I don't have Cable either. I have Verizon Wireless and they give you ESPN+ for free. I am logged in through Verizon on the ESPN app. In doing that, I can watch the game that is on now, but not the ones that are ESPN+ only. I don't understand why. I have ESPN+. I can't watch the ESPN games.
It is not. Your ESPN+ subscription is independent of YTTV. The confusion comes from the fact that the ESPN app contains two tiers of content, it has both ESPN+ stuff and ESPN cable stuff mixed together. ESPN+/Hulu has 7 games including the home opener vs Vancouver on Oct 23 TNT has 5 games starting with vs Chicago on Nov 17 Non-National Games. 69 (nice) games are left after the national games for Root. If you are in-market, Root Sports should carry all other games live.

You already have ESPN+ for 77 games. For the remaining 5 games that are exclusive to TNT you might have to spring for a cheap streamer that carries it.

I pirate everything: sports, movies, TV Channels, and even made my own plex server. But lately I have gotten really into UFC 303 and haven't found a great way to watch ufc: Alex Pereira vs Jiri Prochazka live ...
