The North Cove Historic District encompasses a historic waterfront community on North Cove Road in Saybrook, Connecticut.Laid out in the 17th century, the area has housing stock mostly built between 1700 and 1855, a period in which it flourished as a port and shipbuilding community.
The John Whittlesey Jr. House is located in northeastern Old Saybrook, on the south side of Ferry Road. It is set back from the street on a lot lined at the street by a low stone retaining wall. The house is a 2 + 1 ⁄ 2-story wood-frame structure, five bays wide, with a large central chimney, gabled roof, and clapboarded exterior.

The Elisha Bushnell House is a historic house at 1445 Boston Post Road in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. With a construction history dating to 1678, it is one of Connecticut's oldest surviving buildings, exhibiting an evolutionary construction history.
