This is an honest question to Republicans: what do you guys believe in now? what are the fundamental values and goals of the Republican party, both in terms of domestic and foreign policy? seems things have changed a bit over the last 12 years, so I'd like to know what the Grand Old Party is now all about. thanks in advance.
Many/most Republicans oppose the "Equal Protection Clause" of the Fourteenth Amendment. This is a clause that they hate because it prohibits a private business owner from discriminating based upon race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or other non-business related criteria of the customer based upon an invidious personal opinion such as ...

Why do Republicans believe in Free Markets but not open borders? Discussion in 'Political Opinions ...
Rep Matt Gaetz (and some other prominent politicians) believe: "The 2nd Amendment is about maintaining within the citizenry the ability to maintain an armed rebellion against the government of the United States, if that becomes necessary."-- Rep Matt Gaetz How many of you on the right actually believe this? Well, the answer is this:
Currently the United States is dominated by two authoritarian political parties: the Democratic party (left) and the Republican party (right). If you wish to discuss it futher, there are a couple of other threads we can do this in, as I don't want to derail the topic too much.
But the fact is that Democrats are trying to fix it, and Republicans are trying to perpetuate it so they can run on it. But if they are to run on it forever, they'll have to perpetuate it forever. And they have! You don't have to believe me.
I'm on the run right now but can certainly provide examples. Start with this one. The Republicans want to roll back the EPA's restrictions on the future pollution being caused by the burning of coal. The pollution caused by the burning of coal violates the Natural Right "Of Property" of the People of the United States.
Republicans see it as government overreach unless absolutely necessary and they want the individual to be responsible for themselves. Republicans truly do believe that the government that governs least, governs best. Democrats do not, and they see this as uncaring. This explanation is not partisan in nature.
See, Democrats want to help people. Democrats want to do good things to help America, as we believe this will improve their lives, and thus their spirit, which, in turn, improves productivity. If you don't help people, it's only natural they won't vote for you. Republicans lose elections, and they haven't figured this out.
