La Trinidad ([lɐ tɾinɪˈdɐd]), officially the Municipality of La Trinidad (Ilocano: Ili ti La Trinidad; Tagalog: Bayan ng La Trinidad), is a municipality and capital of the province of Benguet, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 137,404 people.

The strawberry farm is located in Barangay Betag of La Trinidad, Benguet and is owned and maintained by the Benguet State University (BSU). [1] The BSU leases at least 500 to 1,000 square meters (5,400 to 10,800 sq ft) lots of the 79.49 hectares (196.4 acres) farm to local farmers for strawberry cultivation.
In 1960, Rev. Fr. John Wageners, C.I.C.M., was appointed the parish priest of La Trinidad Mission. At that time, there was no Catholic school yet in the parish, so he decided to put one up. He contacted Brother Peter Verhaegh, C.I.C.M., who created plans. Construction got underway on March 21, 1964.
