McGee Creek State Park is a state park in southern Oklahoma. The park is on the south side of McGee Creek Reservoir, which impounds the waters of McGee Creek. Created in 1985 the reservoir provides flood control. The park is approximately 2,600 acres (1,100 ha) and the reservoir is approximately 3,800 acres (1,500 ha).
Lane is located along the State Highway 3, 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Atoka. [5] McGee Creek Reservoir, which impounds the waters of McGee Creek, lies northeast of Lane. McGee Creek is a tributary of Muddy Boggy Creek, which flows east of Lane. The famous rodeo world champion Lane Frost (1963-1989) once lived in Lane, as do his parents.

At mile 103.8, the routes reach Watonga and an intersection with SH-8 north, which leads to Roman Nose State Park. Here, US-270 and US-281 turn to the south toward Hinton and Red Rock Canyon State Park, and provide an alternate route to Oklahoma City.
